For the Week of June 8-12

Hello from my socially distanced home to yours! I hope this message finds you and yours well and happy.

Eighth grade students are asked to PLEASE RETURN ALL LIBRARY BOOKS! You may bring them on Thursday,
June 11, when you come to get your things. This is extremely important! Please note, if you are going to OP and owe PKMS a library book, you *will not* be given a locker until you have returned the book or paid for it.

All student work must be submitted by 5pm on Tuesday, June 9. I need time to assess the work and must have my final grades submitted by Wednesday, June 10. Remember, there are no fourth quarter grades; any work submitted would be to demonstrate mastery of previously taught standards.

I wish you all the best as we move through this difficult time. Please stay safe and know I am missing each one of you; I think of you all often, and wish we were back in school where we belong.

Thank you, remember to wash your hands, and have a great week!

Mrs. Gottert

Week of June 8 - 12

You have successfully completed middle school!
I hope you have a wonderful summer and a fantastic freshman year of high school.

Please note that PKMS is encouraging everyone to participate in the #Blackauthorsmatter Summer Reading Challenge! This involves reading at least four books written by Black authors. When you're done, share a picture of the book cover with the hashtag and your thoughts on the book.

This is a great way to explore new authors and find some new favorites! Mrs. Linehan and Mrs. Muster have posted a great list of authors and books on the PKMS Panther Library account on Twitter. Feel free to e-mail me for suggestions or follow me on Twitter where I'll be posting some of my new favorites @GottertMrs . I look forward to hearing from you!

Take care of yourselves, and thank you for a wonderful year!
